Hugs

I've got a question for you female readers out there.  I've been told by a few different girls that I give good hugs.  I have no idea what this actually means.

Any insight, ladies?

Good hugs= comforting and warm-fuzzy feeling.

I actually wouldn't know if you give good hugs. This is not an invitation to find out, though. Lest you hadn't noticed, I'm sort of a no-touchy type of gal, so, no offense.

good hugs = comfort and protection. To me, a good hug is someone who isn't awkward. I have had awkward hugs, no fun! So by giving good hugs girls see you as someone who truly cares and isn't shy about touching people, but not in an icky way.

Congrats on being a good hug giver, it's a good talent to have. ;)

A good hug = a cwtch.

English just doesn't have the right words for these sorts of things.

A good hug isn't awkward. It lasts a little longer (or sometimes, a lot longer) than a perfunctory hug. It communicates honesty and openness and caring and safety. Not many people give good hugs. Congratulations for being one of them.

Hugs from the foxy gentleman are probably "good" no matter how his hugging skills measure up on their own. So maybe they just think you're hot. Just saying.

Height, size, amount of squeeze, and similarity of style to other good hugs, figure in, as well.

I was told more than once that I gave good hugs as well. The thing was, I was trying. I had a friend who was an excellent hugger and told me that he just tried to put all the love he felt for the person into the hug. I think that makes for a pretty good experience.

Unless, of course, you hate the person.
